Job Description: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is seeking highly qualified and experienced Project Directors (Civil) to join our team on a contract basis. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing various projects related to buildings, bridges, highways, water resources, and more. The position requires strong expertise in civil engineering and project management.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc./B.E (16 years of education) in Civil Engineering from a reputable local or foreign university duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Master’s degree in Construction/Project Management is preferred.
• Must be registered with PEC as a Professional Engineer.

Age: Maximum 50 years

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in high-rise buildings, bridges, highways, sewage treatment plants (STP), water supply, etc., with at least 5 years as a Director, preferably in government organizations.
• Successfully completed projects with a cost of Rs. 1 billion and above as Project Director.

Specialized Skills:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in project management, including planning, organizing, budgeting, and execution.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Primavera.

1. Urban Planning: CDA is responsible for formulating master plans and development strategies for the city, ensuring proper land use, zoning regulations, and infrastructure development
2. Infrastructure Development: CDA undertakes the construction and maintenance of major infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water supply systems, sewage treatment plants, parks, and public amenities.
3. Building Regulations: CDA enforces building codes and regulations to ensure safe and sustainable construction practices within the city. It reviews architectural and structural designs, issues building permits, and conducts inspections.
4. Environmental Conservation: CDA is committed to preserving the natural environment and green spaces in Islamabad. It oversees the management of parks, forests, and protected areas, promoting environmental sustainability.
5. Property Management: CDA manages and allocates land and property within its jurisdiction. It handles land acquisition, leasing, and commercial property development to generate revenue for the authority.
6. Traffic and Transport Management: CDA works to improve traffic flow and transportation systems in the city. It plans and develops road networks, implements traffic management measures, and promotes sustainable modes of transportation.

Incomplete and unattested documents will not be entertained. No TA/DA will be provided for the test/interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Candidates currently working in public sector departments/organizations should apply through proper channels. The number of positions offered is 04, but the Authority reserves the right to adjust the number at the time of recruitment. All posts are purely on a contract basis for one year with the possibility of regular appointment. Applications should be sent through the post office or any courier service.
