Brushing power weakens

General solutions

  1. Check if you're using the right brushing mode. That's because the brushing power is different for each mode. For example, the gentle brushing mode brushes your teeth more gently than the intense mode or the mode for whiter teeth. Do you want to brush your teeth thoroughly? Avoid the gentle brushing modes.
  2. Is the brushing power not as strong as you're used to? Fully charge the toothbrush.
  3. Does this not solve the problem? Check the brush attachment. Clean it on the inside and outside and try again. If this doesn't work, replace the brush attachment.
  4. Does the problem remain and is the toothbrush covered by the warranty? Contact our Customer Service.

Philips Sonicare EasyStart function

Do you have a Philips Sonicare toothbrush and do you want to brush with full power? Turn off the EasyStart function, because the toothbrush uses this function to build up the intensity during the first 14 brushing sessions. You can turn off the EasyStart function as follows:

  1. Place the toothbrush on the charger first.
  2. Next, press and hold the on/of button while the toothbrush is placed on the charger. You'll hear a beep after 2 seconds.
  3. Release the on/off button and the EasyStart function is disabled. You can now test the brushing power of the toothbrush.
