A Massachusetts-based cannabis company is claiming the record for the world's largest cannabis-infused brownie, which was baked in the state.MariMed, Inc. said it made the record-breaking brownie in celebration of National Brownie Day on Wednesday.The massive confection is 3 feet wide by 3 feet long, 15 inches tall and weighs in at a whopping 850 pounds.In addition to 20,000 milligrams of THC, it took the following ingredients to make the brownie: 1,344 eggs, 250 pounds of sugar, 212 pounds of butter, 122 pounds of cocoa powder, 81 pounds of flower, 5.3 pounds of vanilla extract, 3 pounds of salt and 2 pounds of baking powder.According to Guinness World Records, the world's largest brownie — not infused with cannabis — was made in 2013 and weighed in at 243 pounds. MariMed's infused brownie weighs more than three times that Guinness-record brownie.The brownie was also made to celebrate MariMed's launch of Bubby's Baked, a brand of nostalgic edibles that makes an infused twist on classic baked confections, according to a news release from the company.What happens to the brownie now? Company spokesperson Howard Schacter said it will be sent to its Middleborough dispensary and ultimately sold to a medical marijuana patient.
