Her passion was playing the piano and teaching her wonderful students, who kept her young, for over 45 years. She taught music appreciation, history of music and piano pedagogy at Pittsburgh Musical Institute. She served on numerous committees and as as past president of Tuesday Musical Group. She was past secretary and lifetime member of Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association. She was very involved in the Glenshaw Presbyterian Church and taught Bible Studies.

One of her proudest accomplishments was when she played with her father at Carnegie Hall. He was also one of the many partners at West Homestead baking company and met the love of his life Marie (Mitchie) Stoyanoff after a wrong turn while crossing the Hi-level Bridge took him to the Bulgarian Club where he saw her singing. Bob served honorably during WWII as a baker. For 24 years he operated Dari-Delite and Donut Shop in West Mifflin. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie and is survived by three sons, Robert (Kathy), William (Nancy) and Bradley (Millicent) Novic.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren including Bobby, Kelly, Mia, Abbi, Chris and Tim E. as well as 7 great grandchildren, Katerina, Lindsay, Justin, Joey, Madison and Brooke.
